May Treasures
April is in full swing, how are we doing with collecting Treasures? I am the proverbial tortoise and have not quite finished with the collections released in March. It's a good thing that there isn't a time limit! With that being said, the next two collections, releasing on May 6, have been announced on the official blog post:
- Classic trackables - start earning these 5 treasures upon completing the "Celebrating 25 years" collection
- Mystery books - complete the "Navigational tools" collection to start earning these four treasures
UPDATE 05/07/25: The Classic trackables collection can be earned by finding and logging a traditional, event, Cache In Trash Out event, Mega-event, Community Celebration event, Geocaching Headquarters Block Party or a Giga-event. I am unclear as to how finding a traditional cache goes along with the theme of all of the others being event-type caches, but the comma is currently in the description, so it's "a Traditional, Event, ..." not "a Traditional Event, ...". I guess I'll find out for sure if and when I earn a Classic trackables treasure by logging a Traditional cache ;-)
UPDATE 05/12/25: The collection criteria for the Classic trackables collection has been updated to read a Traditional of any size and any event cache. That's much easier to understand, and if there are no events around to attend, just finding traditional caches will get the job done. Woo hoo!
UPDATE 06/07/25: Well, I've finally completed the Navigational Tools collection, so now I can report the criteria for the Mystery Books collection: find and log a multiple, virtual, letterbox, mystery, earthcache or wherigo of any size with a difficulty rating of 2.0 or higher.
